Title

A Test For The Nation: Women, Children, Families, AIDS

Subject

women, feminist, woman filmmaker, AIDS, BIPOC, activist media

Description

One of three documentaries I made for GMHC's "Living with AIDS" cable tv show. All three exhibit a sustained commitment to an "intersectional" approach to understanding and representing the AIDS crisis when considering the experiences of women. This one forefronts feminist issues raised by children, including access to abortion and quality healthcare. Places AIDS into framework of reproductive rights and women’s health care.
