Title

Finding Your Way: A Guide to Your Case in Family Court

Subject

activist video, community based video, incarceration, youth

Description

The first video I was paid to make in a summer internship during graduate school at the NYC Department of Juvenile Justice. I had very few skills, but they were happy with the video. It was edited at the foundational NYC community-video center, DCTV, Downtown Community Television, and was played in waiting rooms in detention centers to explain to young people what would happen to them in family court, as well as their rights in this complex system.
